Director, Compensation & Benefits

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada
THE OPPORTUNITY
 
As the Director, Compensation & Benefits, you will lead the governance and optimization of People & Culture systems and processes to support our short and long term goals.
 
As a key member of the People team, you will make an impact at Aritzia by: 
  • Leading all compensation and benefits programs, policies and procedures
  • Overseeing development of a rewards strategy by researching best practices and trends and performing analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of existing compensation and benefits programs
  • Providing strategic and operational leadership in the design, development, implementation, administration, and communication of compensation programs that align with the company’s strategic vision and objectives
  • Providing consultation to Talent Management partners and business leaders
 
 
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE                                                              
 
As a seasoned professional and a top rated specialist, you are a driver of innovation and a subject matter expert with a history of successfully creating and implementing the latest and greatest best practices in your field.  You use your experience to drive business results through inspirational and effective leadership of your team and as an entrepreneur, you look past what ’is’ and see what ‘could be,’ with recognition that it takes collaboration, detail and heart to be successful.
 
In addition, you have:
  • 7+ years’ experience within Compensation & Benefits with leadership experience; retail experience an asset, but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field; Master’s and/or CCP/SHRM/HRCI preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in compensation plan design and implementation with a proven ability to improve programs and practices to support business goals
  • Proficient with Excel
