Head of Retail Technology

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia
The Head of Retail Technology plays the leadership role in leveraging technology to drive, operate and support our store systems.  Responsibilities center on strategy development, implementation and day to day technology operations.  Through excellent relationships with Retail, coupled with a keen business and technology understanding, the Head of Retail Technology architects, plans, develops, executes and manages the implementation and support of Aritzia’s store systems.
As a key member of the Information Technology team you will make an impact at Aritzia by:

  • In collaboration with Senior Leadership partners, shaping the vision and delivering value generating technology solutions
  • Leveraging a deep understanding and curiosity about our customer and business
  • Leading and mentoring a team of experts dedicated to delivering and running world class systems
  • Engaging with the Retail, eCommerce and Marketing Divisions and Department to align cross-functional initiatives and efforts
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE                                                         
As a seasoned professional in your craft, you use your experience to drive business results through inspirational and effective leadership of your team. As an entrepreneur you look past what ’is’ and see what ‘could be,’ with recognition that it takes collaboration, detail and heart to be successful. In addition, you have:
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in retail technology solutions
  • Experience conceptualizing, scoping, planning and managing complex projects
  • Experience identifying issues, gathering requirements and designing successful solutions
  • Experience in software development and / or roll out
  • Experience implementing and supporting large scale Retail Point of Sale systems
  • Experience with Omni Channel environments
  • Excellent communication ability and relationship building skills
  • Knowledge of and / or experience in the apparel industry is a valuable asset
