Manager, Distribution (Eastern Canada)

Location: Toronto, Ontario
THE OPPORTUNITY
As the Manager, Distribution (Eastern Canada), you will be responsible for managing all aspects of Aritzia’s Eastern Canada distribution operations.
 
As a key member of the Supply Chain team, you will make an impact at Aritzia by: 
  • Leading the start-up of Aritzia’s newest distribution center -  serving as Business Lead and subject matter expert from conceptual design through site deployment and operations  
  • Overseeing all aspects of Eastern Canada distribution, managing and driving performance to build and sustain a best- in-class operation 
  • Exploring and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement both  internally and across the distribution network
 
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE                                                         
The Manager, Distribution (Eastern Canada) will be a critical leader on the Aritzia Distribution team and will play a key role in enabling Aritzia’s strategic growth efforts in Eastern Canada. They will be tasked with meeting and exceeding the high expectations for our retail and eCommerce customers through a relentless pursuit of operational excellence. 

The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional in the distribution field having effectively managed day-to-day operations in a medium to large-scale facility. As a plus, they have experience in the implementation of a successful distribution start-up. As demonstrated through cost and service KPIs, the candidate has exhibited operational ownership with a history of measurable success. They have a strong working knowledge of distribution equipment and automation as well as a depth of experience in building distribution infrastructure, including but not limited to:

People: Managing and developing workforce of 300+, planning/scheduling labor to support Peak and non-Peak operational needs, growing and developing team through professional development, building a high performing team culture, developing effective communication with internal business partners.   

Process: Designing standard operating procedures, assessing and optimizing functional workflows, executing Lean/Six Sigma/5S principles to drive continuous improvement.

Space: Effectively utilizing and managing distribution capacity, conceptualizing layout enhancements to facilitate new or improved workflows, creating and maintaining a culture of safe work practices.

Technology: Systems proficiency and aptitude within WMS/WCS/WES, identifying and prioritizing technical enhancements and upgrades, large scale process automation and improvement.
