Integration Specialist

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Integration Specialist will acquire, standardize and integrate data into Aritzia’s enterprise data warehouse.  This role will be responsible for translating business requirements into data specifications and structures. In addition, as a subject matter expert on the BI team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership in the areas of data and integration.  This role will be focused on partnering closely with the sales and marketing teams to virtualize and/or integrate disparate data sources into a scalable, self-service and customer-centric data foundation.  This unique opportunity calls for an energetic, thorough and service-minded individual who understands the value of data, has a passion for clean data and enjoys empowering the business through use of data.
 
You will make an impact at Aritzia by:
  • Playing an integral role in the development and growth of Aritzia’s Business Intelligence function
  • Leveraging best practices and industry standards adopted to Aritzia’s unique needs to support holistic data acquisition and integration scenarios
  • Leveraging well developed customer service skills while interfacing directly with the business

 
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE                                                         
As either a growing professional or one who is seasoned in your craft, you use your smarts and experience to hit the ground running.  You look past what ‘is’ and see what ‘could be,’ always keeping the end goal in mind.  In addition, you have:
  • Hands-on experience integrating data with Amazon Web Services and/or Google Cloud Platform
  • 3-5 years of experience integrating both batch (ETL/ELT) and streaming (real-time) data
  • 3-5 years of experience working with Web Services/APIs (REST/JSON, SOAP/XML)
  • 3-5 years of experience programming with Java, Python, Scala or Go
  • Experience with integration tools such as Informatica, Mulesoft, Pentaho, SAP Data Services, SAS, etc. would be beneficial
  • Thorough understanding or application of database, data warehousing, and information management concepts
  • Strong SDLC process and project discipline
  • Bachelors, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science or Information Management Systems
