Head of Distribution

Location: Burnaby, BC
THE OPPORTUNITY
 
As the Head of Distribution you are responsible to design, develop and implement our global distribution strategy while driving continuous improvement through cost effective systems and processes. You will be responsible to ensures effective utilization of space and equipment in all distribution centers and ensures processes are effectively established, followed, monitored and optimized.
 
You will make an impact at Aritzia by:
  • Overseeing the planning and scheduling of all distribution centers and their services to ensure we exceed customer expectations
  • Leading the Distribution strategy relative to insourcing vs. outsourcing, warehouse network optimization, IT prioritization, supplier relationship management, contract management, system solutions and scenario modeling
  • Partnering directly with the VP, Supply Chain and Distribution Center Managers to lead the planning of short-term and long-term labor needs based on sales and merchandise volumes
  • Providing thought leadership and driving major projects across distribution centers, (e.g., distribution center layout changes, equipment and space needs and utilization, capital expenses and major repairs)
  • Developing/mentoring our Distribution staff on supply chain concepts and strategies

Your key relationships will be:
  • Reporting to: VP, Supply Chain 
  • Collaborating with: Distribution Department Managers and business partners

You have experience:
  • Managing multiple distribution centers and servicing both Retail and eCommerce businesses. 
  • Starting up a new distribution center and/or expanding an existing facility to meet the needs of a growing business
