Systems Administrator

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia
THE OPPORTUNITY
As the Systems Administrator, you an integral member of Aritzia’s Infrastructure team focusing on operational excellence of the IT infrastructure environment across multiple locations running primarily Microsoft, VMware and Cisco technologies.  You have a strong customer-service orientation and are dedicated to ensuring the performance and reliability of our core infrastructure systems by performing upgrades, proactive maintenance and monitoring. 

You will make an impact at Aritzia by:
  • Keeping the ship sailing!  Monitoring and supporting the IT infrastructure environment across five main locations and 75+ retail locations
  • Proactively identifying and solving problems and working with vendors to design and implement new systems
  • Performing system upgrades and enhancements, and researching and evaluating new technologies that could add value to the IT infrastructure
  • Providing exceptional 2nd tier knowledge and support to end-users and Service Desk team

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
As a top rated specialist you are a driver of innovation and a subject matter expert with a history of successfully creating and implementing the latest and greatest best practices in your field.  In addition, you have:
  • Experience in operational aspects of implementation and maintenance of infrastructure systems, including creating and maintaining technical documentation and developing and maintaining standards of governance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows Server 2008R2 and 2012 technologies including, ADDS, ADCS, GPO, DNS, DHCP, DFS, PowerShell
  • Experienced in VMware vSphere 6.x, vMotion, Storage vMotion, HA, DRS, VCOPS
  • Exposure to Cisco Unified Computing Systems
  • Competent in Systems Patching (e.g., SCCM) and Monitoring tools
  • Strong foundations in storage technologies, especially NetApp ONTAP
  • Knowledgeable in backup and recovery processes and technologies
  • Proven track record managing enterprise-class systems
