VP Controller

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia
We are looking for a key addition to our Finance Leadership Team at Aritzia. As the VP Controller, you have the opportunity to work with an exceptional team and partner with the CFO to continue to build a world class finance department. You are about the people and the process, continually looking at how to improve and enhance our financial processes and systems while building the skills and experience of your team. 
You will make an impact at Aritzia by: 
  • Providing strategic leadership and direction in all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, audits and internal controls
  • Managing the execution and delivery of all internal and external reporting
  • Identifying and spear-heading process improvements, leading to greater efficiency and more seamless operations
  • Maximizing our investment in SAP by leading the implementation and management of improved processes and controls within and outside finance, ensuring assets are safeguarded and financial information is accurately and fairly represented

As a seasoned professional in your craft, you use your experience to drive results through inspirational and effective leadership of your team. You are equally effective rolling up your sleeves and getting into the detail as you are stepping back and understanding the strategic impact on the organization. You have the skills, knowledge and background to lead and mentor a strong team of accounting professionals. In addition, you have:
  • In-depth knowledge of all areas of accounting
  • A post- secondary degree and your CPA designation
  • Proven leadership skills and a track record of process improvement 
  • Progressive management experience with a public company
  • An eye for detail and are known for your meticulous and organized work
  • You have a love for problem solving and value creation
  • Public company
