Director, Distribution

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
As the Director, Distribution, you are responsible for all the day-to-day activities within our current network of three distribution centers and ensuring a world-class customer experience for both our retail and eCommerce channels.  With deep expertise in distribution strategy and operational continuous improvement, your role includes the optimization of people, process, technology and space/equipment utilization.
You will make an impact at Aritzia by:
  • Leading a team of distribution professionals in the achievement of best-in-class Key Performance Metrics within safety, accuracy, customer experience, employee engagement, productivity and efficient cost management.
  • Playing a pivotal role in the development of our long-term distribution strategic master plan.
  • Ensuring our distribution network has the storage and fulfillment capacity to meet our aggressive growth plans.
  • Providing technical expertise within the business on all day-to-day and  tactical initiatives.
  • Performing the Subject Matter Expert role for all strategic and cross-functional projects with a distribution component.
  • Assuming ownership for all distribution reporting, budgeting, forecasting and labor planning.
  • Partnering with the Vice President, Supply Chain in the development, prioritization and implementation of our people, project, customer experience and cost management plans.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE                                                         
As a seasoned professional in your craft, you use your experience to move the needle and inspire your team to grow to new heights. As an entrepreneur you look past what’ is’ and see what ‘could be,’ with recognition that it takes collaboration, detail and heart to be successful.  In addition, you have:
  • An undergraduate degree in a related discipline
  • Managed multiple distribution centers; international experience would be an asset
  • Leadership experience in a retail / ecommerce environment, ideally apparel
  • Played a leadership role in starting up a new distribution center and/or expanding an existing facility
