Head of Finance, Store Development

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia
THE OPPORTUNITY
As the Head of Finance, Store Development, you partner directly with the Store Development team to strengthen Aritzia’s financial results and effectively manage Aritzia’s financial assets.  You have well-developed business acumen and are comfortable building relationships and working collaboratively at all levels across different departments. Capitalizing on your skills and expertise, you will lead the financial planning processes for the Store Development department and act as an analytical engine, providing insight and supporting optimal business decision making.
 
As an integral member of the Financial Planning and Analysis team, you will make an impact at Aritzia by:
  • Playing an key role in meeting business objectives and maximizing financial performance through effective management of leasing proforma and scenario analysis
  • Conducting analysis to support capital investment decision making
  • Leading the development, preparation and analysis of business and department dashboards and scorecards
  • Leading the preparation and analysis of business case support by developing relevant and innovative financial modeling and robust business analysis to highlight financial implications and support key decisions
 
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE                                                         
As a seasoned professional in your craft, you use your experience to drive business results through inspirational and effective leadership of your team. As an entrepreneur you look past what ’is’ and see what ‘could be,’ with recognition that it takes collaboration, detail and heart to be successful. In addition, you have:
  • Progressive financial planning & analysis experience within a fast paced and growing organization
  • Proven leadership skills and an ability to develop effective relationships and balance business needs
  • CPA, CFA designation and / or MBA preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-look ups) along with ERP experience (ideally SAP)
  • Proven ability to assist business units in working from the ground-up and creating KPI reports, dashboards and other management reports
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate impact of financial information to business
  • Detail-oriented and process driven, with high expectations of self
