Head of Operations, Product

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia
THE OPPORTUNITY
As the Head of Operations, Product you are part of shaping and driving strategy for the Product Division.  You bring best practices and new perspectives to creating, maintaining and improving our infrastructure and processes.  Skilled at developing relationships and working cross-functionally, you ensure the successful execution of seasonal and annual objectives.
 
As an integral member of the Production Operations team, you will make an impact at Aritzia by: 
  • Building outstanding partnerships at all levels throughout the organization to truly understand business needs
  • Using management strategies (project, change, system), analytical abilities and business knowledge to develop and design systems and tools that support Artizia’s rapid pace business growth
  • Driving, managing and reporting on the portfolio of initiatives that come out of Corporate Planning
  • Building divisional operational infrastructure where it does not exist and identify continuous areas for improvement
 
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE                                                         
As a seasoned professional in your craft, you use your experience to drive business results through inspirational and effective leadership of your team. As an entrepreneur you look past what ’is’ and see what ‘could be,’ with recognition that it takes collaboration, detail and heart to be successful.  In addition, you have:
  • A degree in Business, Economics, Arts, Information Systems or equivalent (MBA is highly regarded)
  • Experience in apparel production, PLM, merchandising, inventory management and / or planning
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with peers and at the executive level
  • Management experience and well-developed leadership skills
  • Proven negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • A well-developed understanding of technology, and how it can improve efficiencies in process and enable businesses to function more effectively
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
