Head of Investor Relations

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia
THE OPPORTUNITY
As the Head of Investor Relations you ensure that Aritzia is appropriately and strategically positioned within the analyst and investor community.  Reporting to the CFO, you will create the framework, and strategically plan, build and execute a highly captivating and refined Investor Relations strategy.  Capitalizing on your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, as well as your well-developed network, you will be responsible for managing external relationships within the investment community. 
 
You will make an impact at Aritzia by:
  • Building investor confidence in the company’s vision to deliver shareholder value
  • Developing a comprehensive Investor Relations framework and strategy
  • Building and maintaining a powerful reputation through clear and consistent two-way communication that is optimized and streamlined
  • Managing the company’s relationships with analysts, investors, and individual shareholders
  • Providing market intelligence to the Executive team, including financial and industry trends, shareholder concerns and competitor actions, that might impact the company
  • Overseeing and coordinating quarterly earnings calls, preparation of the Annual Report and AGM

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE                                                         
As a seasoned professional in your craft, you use your experience to drive business results through inspirational and effective leadership of your team. As an entrepreneur you look past what ’is’ and see what ‘could be,’ with recognition that it takes collaboration, detail and heart to be successful.  In addition, you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline; MBA an asset
  • 10 years’ experience with a proven track record of developing positive long-term relations with analysts and the investor community
  • Strong understanding of securities disclosure rules, regulations and filing requirements and significant experience in handling all such matters
  • Deep knowledge of capital markets and financial performance metrics
  • Comfortable with valuation and modeling techniques used by investors and analysts
  • Understanding of retail brands and up-to-date on current macroeconomic, consumer, competitor and customer trends
  • Entrepreneurial orientation, client-service mentality and sensitivity are required; must be able to perform under pressure, short deadlines and in high visibility settings
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to craft powerful and engaging messages
